Steamatic Catastrophe Management Partners With Steamatic of Australia for Flood Cleanup and Restoration
Steamatic Catastrophe Management (SCM) is working in Northern Victoria, Australia with Steamatic of Australia on cleanup and restoration following the devastation of recent floods.
“The job consists of three phases of cleaning,” says Bill Eaton, manager of SCM. “In phase 1, we will remove the gross debris removal consisting of mud and silt, while in phase 2, we will use a disinfectant to sanitize the facility. In phase 3, we will apply a microbial treatment as a final clearance. All of the plant areas are being Desiccant Dehumidified to stabilize and return the environment to a pre-loss condition. Demonstrating a team spirit among franchise owners that is dominant throughout Steamatic, Inc.’s franchise system, Steamatic Catastrophe Management (SCM) recently responded to calls for help from owners in New York, New Jersey, Virginia and Connecticut so they could serve their customers just after Hurricane Irene hit in August.
“Just after we posted the need for franchises to help on Steamatic’s website, Okalani Taufahema responded to our call,” says Bill Eaton, manager of SCM. “Without fanfare or the need for recognition, he drove his truck across the United States to help our fellow owners in the northeast.
